Captain's Convention Series
Horatio Nelson, a Viscount and Duke, was an officer in the British Royal Navy, as a Captain, then Admiral. His fame during the Napoleonic Wars was due to his inspirational leadership and superb grasp of strategy and unconventional tactics which resulted in a number of decisive naval victories, especially at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805 where he was shot and killed by a sniper at the age of 47. His death at Trafalgar secured his position as one of Britain's most heroic figures.
