Happy 270th Birthday Tommy! Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

RedHotRutabaga: Over 30 days to make sure everyone logged the event. Thanks to all who came out and for getting the party started while I ran late. It shows the support of fellow cachers is never ending. Thanks again.

Geocache Description:

Any reason to get the geocachers together before a day of geocaching. Why not bring them together for a BIRTHDAY PARTY!

On this day in 1743 was born a man who would become President of the United States of America. Thomas Jefferson was credited with overseeing the purchase of the Lousianna Territory from France in 1803. He also sent Lewis and Clark on the westward trek. He was the principal author of the Declaration of Independence. He even found enough time to pose for the $2 bill!

The fun happens 10am-12noon on April 13th at Hamilton Lanes, 1200 Kuser Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619.

The early morning event will feature coffee cake, coffee, and space to link up and chat about past adventures with other area geocachers and also make plans for new ones. Hamilton Lanes is very convenient to lots of geocaches.  The D&R Canal Trail, Mercer County Park, and the Hamilton/Trenton Marshes (for those adventurous kayakers among us) are just minutes away.

No need to bring birthday presents for Tommy, he is dead after all. But we will have presents for some of the attendees in the form of door prizes.

Please RSVP with a "Will Attend" so we can know how many people to expect.
