Geocache Description:

This Multicache takes the cacher to 15 different places. 13 of these are historical information poles that tell the story of Youghal. This cache can only be attempted between 10am and 5pm Monday to Saturday and 1pm to 4pm on a Sunday as a few of the poles are blocked off after that. I advise you to bring paper and pen/pencil to write the codes down as there is a lot of them.

To find the coordinates for the next stage of the cache you will have to find a specific letter on the sign (ie R3 L10 = the third row of the text and the tenth letter on that row)The row does not include the title and the letter includes numbers so e.g
Church
In (1832) the church was established(.)It (B)egan This means if you are asked for S and it says S=R1 L32 (The "B"at began.You include numbers as a letter count and segregate fullstops and commas.Once the letter is retrieved the letter is then changed to a number.So S=B and B is the 2nd letter in the alphabet so it is a 2.Even though there are 14 Stages in which you retrieve letters/numbers and essentially there can only be 10 numbers,4 letters/numbers will be repeated :)
A=1
B=2
C=3
D=4
E=5
F=6
G=7
H=8
I=9
J=0
No letter other than these are used in the encryption,the letters will have aliases of other letters but none of which are used in the table.So say Z=H and H=8 when ever Z is coded into the coordinates replace it with 8.Z is not actually 8.

From Stage2 until Stage14 the text to be read is on the ENGLISH side of the three sided information poles.
