Geocache Description:

Cache placed at the old USPCA kennels at Carryduff

When I was just a lad, if I misbehaved (not that I did you understand) my parents would threaten me with being taken to "Carryduff Cat and Dog Home"! This threat implied that I was going to be left there and was not going just to have a wee look at the fluffy animals, I mean they could have threatened me with the zoo...or a farm.

Over the years thousands of people visited these kennels which held up to 58 dogs, to look for their lost pet, or offer a new home to a stray, however as part of the biggest shake-up in the charity's history, these kennels closed in September 2010 and the USPCA no longer be take in healthy stray dogs prefering to concentrate on prevention of animal cruelty. A new modern site is now found near Bessbrook.

Cache is black tube with some paracord and contains only a log and a pencil due to size constraints. Ample parking at cache site. Should be a cache and dash.
