This cache is one of 6 placed in conjunction with the 2013 Nature Coast Birding and WIldlife Festival, meant to take you to some great wildlife viewing areas and to honor some of our Fabulous Florida Birds. This one is for the Bald Eagle!
The Upper Cotee Preserve is still being enhanced and its looking like a winner! Visit the other two caches here, and enjoy your surroundings. This area is prime habitat for Bald Eagles - so eyes to the skys - you just may see one soaring!
The first 6 cachers completing all 6 of the bird caches in this series, and bring proof ("bird calling card") from each of the 6 caches to Chinsegut Nature Center 23212 Lake Lindsey Rd 34601 (N 28 37.861 W 082 21.227) you can claim a goody bag containing wildlife booklets, local coupons, a nano or trackable and other neat stuff (one per family please) Call 754-6722 to be sure of the office hours.
As always - bring water, wear bug repellant, and be careful out there. This one is near the trail. Caching in FL can be dangerously fun! The Preserve is only open during daylight hours. Follow all posted rules and regulations. !!! CONGRATS to TeamWhatKnot for being FTF !!!
