Cache number 19 on a 10 mile walk to the West of the town of Whitchurch along reasonably flat terrain across fields with short sections along quiet country lanes and several miles of canalside towpath.
This location was just made for a cache as it's 161 metres from 18 by the canal. After placing 18 and wondering what the kitchen was all about as we continued along the canal. Next day Goosey looked up the place on tinternet and rang the owner, we found he was open all year round and after a chat about geocaching he invited us to place this cache, after loading up the Dooley tractor with the geocachebag with the hole in it we headed over to try out the cuisine and loose a few more caches. Food was great and as long as you sample what is on offer he is more than happy to allow you to park up, there is also a small fenced play area and toilets on site.
This cache is available all year round and available when the owner has closed up for the day, due to the location of this cache it should never suffer from a wet log if you need an extra clue, difficulty should probably be higher than 1 but is very easy with all the clues on this page and someone on site most of the time who will probably nudge you in the right direction if you're not sure. Terrain is only altitude related for short people.
I'm calling this the Geocachers trail because ultimately I'd like to name each cache after a Geocacher who follows the trail, if you have a favorite that you would like to be named after then nominate it in your log otherwise I will select one.
