A multi which involves two quick stops and takes you to the end of Shippan Point.
Hurricane Sandy wiped out my old cache that was here. Instead of simply replacing it, I decided that the little beach attracts too many muggles in the summer, but I like the location, so I put the coordinates for the final here and hid the cache elsewhere.
The nearest legal parking is on Verplank Avenue or Stamford Avenue. If it's a nice day parking there would result in a round trip hike of maybe 2/3 of a mile. This area doesn't get much traffic, so biking down here is also quite popular.
You can't get from stage to stage via the beach without trespassing and/or swimming, so don't try it. Like many affluent residential areas, night hunting may result in unpleasant interactions with residents and/or law enforcement.
Congrats to Brian for the FTF and a consolation mention to GG for STF. No official hints to maintain the three-star difficulty, but the FTF log might be quite helpful if you get stuck.
