Some History
The Sydney University Cricket Club was first formed in the 1864-65 season and it has a proud tradition playing cricket in Sydney for almost 150 consecutive years.
Teams are fielded in the Sydney Grade Cricket and the Sydney Metropolitan competitions.
One of Sydney's best kept cricketing secrets is the City and Suburban Cricket Association. The Association was formed in 1903 and is a direct affiliate of the NSW Cricket Association. As a founding member of the Association, the Sydney University City & Suburban Cricket Club has a long and proud history with the Association.
THE CACHE
The listed coordinates will take you to the center of Oval #1 within the grounds of Sydney University. Earlier in the day you've received your first Baggy Green and you've just walked out to the crease to face your first ball as a member of the Australian Cricket Team.
The bowler bowls a medium-fast delivery straight at your stumps. You raise the bat, strike the ball right in the middle of it and let the ball's momentum (and your perfectly timed strike) carry it over the fieldsmen and straight over the fence for 6! Clearing the pathway with ease, it lands right at the base of a tree.
To find where it landed you may like to ask for some help from: Arthur Jarvis, Harry Trott, Ian Callen, Francis Allan, Nathanial Thomson, Edgar Mayne, and John Hodges.
You will need to bring your own pen to record your score on the scorecard.
