The Triangle of Death Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

smirkwood: Alas, it turns out that this one will not stand the test of time. I no longer live in the area and I will not be able to maintain it after all. I have loved having this cache - I used to walk past it many times a week for many years. I've enjoyed sharing in the experience of parking in Hurstville with you all. But it is time to say goodbye. Yours in geocaching, Smirkwood.

Geocache Description:

Hurstville is a suburb with a great variety of restaurants and well-stocked Asian grocery stores, especially down its main street Forest Road. It can, however, be a bit problematic to find parking. This cache takes a look at the parking situation.

To WP1: We start in a triangular-shaped carpark I like to call "The Triangle of Death". It is notoriously hard to get a park here during peak times and it is not uncommon to see people waiting for 15-20 minutes before finally getting a spot. It's fun to people watch here sometimes, and I usually sit on one the edge of one of the garden islands eating a delicious pork roll from nearby doing just that. Once, I saw someone trying to do a cheeky, chucking his hazards on to dash quickly off to somewhere with his son hoping to return before anyone noticed. Unfortunately for him, a parking inspector was on the scene well before he got back and he was fined. Anyway, back to business:

1: Count the number of legal parking spaces in the carpark, not including the disabled parking spots for AB.
2: What pm time on a weekday is parking here no longer restricted to 1P? This gives you C.

To WP2: Even if I'm just stopping by for some quick lunch, I will go on a bit further to park here in this carpark. It's usually got spots free as it is only a 6P - make sure you get a ticket though even for the first free hour! - and it's only a little bit more walking than the Triangle. You're a geocacher though, so I'm sure you don't mind a bit of walking!

* * * Update 07.11.13: I didn't realise this until the other day but this second carpark has been changed... It's no longer 6P and you no longer need a ticket. It's just a normal 3P, no need for ticket! I've updated the calculations to factor this in and I hope it still works. * * *

3: How many parking spots are there here on the side of the carpark closest to the street? This does NOT include the on-street parking as this is not "in" the carpark, and ONLY includes spots where cars park perpendicular to the street (90 degrees in relation to the street)... I hope this is clear. This gives you DE.
4: After what pm time on a weekday can you park here for an unlimited period of time? This gives you F.
