Ha Ling Peak Victoria Day Flash Mob Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

Sleepy_hollow: I would like to thank everyone for attending this special get together in an elevated spot! My apologies for the timing of the rock slide - I guess the event start time should have been a couple of hours earlier.

I hope to see everyone for the Solstice Event on Jumping Pound Mountain in a little less than a month.

Our Group Photo at the Ha Ling Summit

Event Parking: Park in the lot off the Spray Lakes Road at: N51 03.692 W115 25.098.

Event Description:

When: Monday, May 20th, 2013 - 11:45 a.m. through 12:00 p.m. at the Ha Ling Peak Summit.

1. We suggest leaving the trailhead to reach the Ha Ling Peak Summit between 9:00 and 10:15 a.m. to be on time for the event and to find the caches along the trail on the way up.

2. Ha Ling Peak Victoria Day Flash Mob at the Ha Ling Peak Summit will begin at 11:45 a.m. and will last until 12:00 p.m. All cachers logging the event need to sign the Event Logbook at the Ha Ling Peak Summit and then receive their Special Event Attendance Card.

3. A group photo will be taken at 11:55 a.m. at the Ha Ling Peak Summit.

4. At 12:00 p.m. we will clean up the site and head back down to the trailhead.

Please come well prepared for the hike and expect snow and cornices along the summit ridge.

Be sure to stay with the group on the way down to enjoy the photo opportunities and caching stories from the trail! Further details (activities) will be added in the next couple of weeks - maybe we could fly a few kites! Perhaps the most important activity will be the chance to chat with your caching buddies at this elevated location. Come on out and enjoy the fun!
