Nargothrond was an elven city built in a series of caves and underground chambers during the First Age. It was ruled by Finrod Felagund of the Noldor until his death. The only entrance was at the edge of the river Narog. It was destroyed by the dragon Glaurung and an army of orcs. Glaurung made it his treasure hoard until he was slain by Turin Turanbar, the greatest mortal hero of Middle Earth (and the most tragic).
Nargothrond was formerly a puzzle type cache which required finding a number of other letterbox hybrids. This has been changed as of May 27, 2019, in hopes that more people will visit this great location.
This is a letterbox hybrid. In addition to the normal logbook and trade items, it also contains a letterbox stamp, inkpad, and stamp book. Please do not remove the stamp, ink pad, or stamp book. THEY ARE NOT TRADE ITEMS!
