Geocache Description:

Welcome to Kinder Cemetery, my first addition to the Stoddard County Cemetery Cache Series. Kinder is mostly abandoned at this point with stones in varying degrees of repair from almost pristine to completely lost.

I cannot account for a great many of the 88 interments that I have found records of at this cemetery. Also, many of the stones are unreadable.

There are two wrought iron enclosures that have all but fallen apart and the markers that were once in them have gone missing except for one that has tumbled.

I love to come up here and just sit and enjoy the peace and solitude of this lost place. It is somewhat sad that these people are largely forgotten, but then if any of them chose this cemetery, it may very well be that they chose it for it's remoteness and the distance it would afford them from the world.

You are looking for an ammo can here. I would brook no lesser container in this place.

Stage One The Ramseys
At stage one you will find the stones of the Ramseys, father and son, who died ten days apart both of pneumonia.

To calculate the coordinates for stage two:
N36° 50.ABC W 089° 53.DEF

A = The day of the son's birth less the day of his death.
B = The fathers's age when his son was born divided by four
C = The third digit in the year the son was born.
D = The number of letters used in the name on the father's stone.
E = The son's age at birth.
F = The month both men died.

Stage Two: The Denningtons
Originally I had planned a traditional cache near these stones, but one corner of a test cache placed here was chewed through and all of the camo tape was chewed off. I decided not to push that issue and abandoned the location, so now you get to visit the Denningtons and get some information to help you locate the final stage for SCCC Kinder.

To calculate the coordinates for the final stage:
N36° 51.ABC W 089° 53.DEF

A = The number of flowers carved on Mrs. Dennington's Stone.
B = Mr. Dennington's birth year less Mrs Denington's birth year divided by 11.
C = The month Mrs. Dennington's death less the last digit of the year of Mr. Dennington's Birth.
D = The number of letters in the 8th word of the quotation on Mr. Dennington's stone.
E = Mr. Deningtons age, on his birthday, in 1874
F = Mrs Dennington's age,on her birthday, in 1877.
