Geocache Description:

A walk based on Gps walk Cheriton Bishop  (http://pinns.co.uk/devon/cheritonbishop.html).

.

A very pleasant and not too strenuous walk in a quiet and unspoilt part of Devon. Without GPS this walk could demand some sound navigation skills The route consists mainly of footpaths and bridleways which can be very muddy and wellies are often essential,There are short sections along country lanes but these are usually quiet with little traffic. You will pass behind Medland Manor which has been rebuilt after a fire. There is an additional loop which can be completed separately or together with the GPS walk but you will need to plan your own route! Dog owners please be aware there are some styles which are not dog friendly (we managed to lift our whippet over them!) and fields with livestock where dogs will need to be on leads. The route is reasonably well signposted but care needs to be taken towards the last few caches! We hope you will enjoy the challenge set to celebrate our 3000th. cache.
