As you stroll the paths on which this series of caches takes you, there are many bird boxes up in the trees. In fact, there are more than 200 dotted around this 42-hectare reserve. They are various shapes and sizes, depending on which species they are most aimed at – from the small boxes for blue tits, to the large owl boxes – and all are individually numbered for the purposes of monitoring by staff, volunteers and researchers. This cache is a few yards on (clockwise) from one of them (possibly the home of "two little ducks??"), slightly off the path. Big thanks to Lindsay and her team from the Wildlife Trust for permission to place this and the other caches here.
