Geocache Description:

A regular sized, traditional, 'Park and Grab' cache near the boundary of Cracroft and Westmorland - on the top edge of Westmorland East Valley Reserve....a not often visited corner of the Port Hills.

At GZ you can enjoy the view down into the Reserve and across to WestMorland and look out to the sweeping vista of Christchurch & the wider environs - as viewed from a slightly different angle. A handy fence nearby to lean on, soak up the view...and point out the sights to your caching companions (arm tweeting?).

There is safe parking on the edge of Worsleys Rd  (on the Reserve side of the road) within 10m of the cache.  Do watch out for mountain bikers though - they head uphill slowly (heading up to a knarley mountain bike track at road end - Worsleys Track) but they whizz home down this road with some gusto! The more adventurous may like to park down on Rushden Rise and have a wee walk up through the start of the Reserve, more adventurous still - park over in Westmorland on Ravensdale Rise and walk right in and around the valley to the cache.

No need to climb trees, thrash plants or tackle gorse bushes....
