Loxahatchee Slough Natural Area
LSNA is a 12,000+ acre natural area managed by Palm Beach County Environmental Resources Management (PBC ERM). LSNA is divided into 3 tracts (north and south of PGA Blvd and north of Northlake Blvd); the main tract north of PGA Blvd is further divided into 3 sections because of the C-18 and C-18 West canals. The Bluegill and Pântano Trails are within the boundries of LSNA. Facilities in all 3 tracts are virtually non-existent.
Ocean-to-Lake Trail
The OTL is a 60+ mile spur of the Florida Trail (FT) that runs east from Lake Okeechobee through Dupuis, Corbett, Hungryland Slough, Loxahatchee Slough, Riverbend Park, and Jonathan Dickinson State Park to Hobe Sound Beach. It is maintained by the Loxahatchee Chapter of the Florida Trail Association. Most of the the FT and OTL are restricted to foot traffic only; no bikes or horses.

To get this cache you should be able to park on the wide grassy shoulder of Beeline Highway and make a short walk to the cache.
It is about 6 1/2 miles to hike the OTL through Lox Slough and parking is available at the north end (GC19HQQ). If you are going to make a longer hike I would recommend leaving your car at nearby Sweetbay Natural Area (GC2T1BY) rather than along the Beeline.
