The cache is hidden near the Feather River levee in the Shanghai Bend wild life region. It involves driving of about one-tenth and then hiking the same distance. There is a stamp in the cache that you may use to sign the log, or you may use one of your own. To find the cache, simply follow the directions below.
1. At the starting coordinates given above, face east. You should notice a bend in the meadow walk nearby.
2. Drive east for about one-tenth until reaching the gravel parking area at the levee. Park at the silver guard rail, just below the silver gate.
3. Walk up the gravel on-ramp to the top of the levee.
4. Look east and you will see a rock cairn/gabion with a tall rusty pipe protruding from it (with a red sign at the top) about 35 yards in front of you. Walk down to this spot.
5. Continue east on the trail...past two large oak trees on your left...for about 90 yards until coming abreast of a large oak on your left...about 20 feet off the trail.
6. You will find the cache hidden in a hollow space at the back of the tree. Be careful, as various animals might shelter themselves in this secluded place.
