This is my first hidden cache and the start of a series of 4 related caches. Caches DD1 to DD4 have to be found in order as information gained from each cache will be needed to solve the next cache. An Internet search will be required to discover the whereabouts of all caches. However, caches DD2 to DD4 will not be released until enough geocachers have found each preceding cache. This is to prevent one FTFer monopolizing the series and give more Geocachers the chance of being FTF. Initially this cache will contain a trackable.
The game has already started, with the main clue being in the cache title. Once you have discovered what the cache is all about everything will fall logically into place and you will be on a roll. I hope all who attempt my first cache will get a kick out of it and will want to motor on to do others.
You need to find a 7 digit number, ABCDEFG. When you have found it, the formula for the whereabouts of the cache will be as follows….
North (FG-30). (AG). (ABC+100) East (BC-1). (The patent was granted on 31st. December 19??). (CDE+102)
Just as a token gesture, I am prepared to help iron out any problems by offering the following advice. The cache is located along a public footpath and the location can be accessed from four different sides. Fortunately, muggles are rare. A style, steep bank and nettles may have to be negotiated so be prepared. As none of the footpaths are well signposted, some forward planning of your route may help. Wellies, may be needed when recovering the cache, while a top hat is optional though you may have to mind your head. This is a beautiful peaceful walk well worth experiencing, with pheasants, rabbits, the occasional dog and even deer frequenting the area. Fortunately there should be no trolls to ward off, although the FTF may feel a need to re-home the goat. Unfortunately however, the footpaths are unsuitable for wheelchairs, prams, buggies and battleships. Most of the initial contents of the cache are relevant to the title and the rewards are there for a good girl. No size of cache is indicated, it will be unexpected and obvious. Good luck.
Please stay within the bounds of the footpaths, there is no need to stray on to farmland or private property as trespassers may be subject to a £50 penalty. The co-ordinates given could be a possible free parking place, but beware of Officer Mallory. Please observe the local speed limits as speeding fines are imposed and its not worth taking a chance. Finally, once you have bagged the cache please leave it exactly as you found it or you may end up meeting Jake inside.
