Stand Still Laddy is another in the Off the Beaten Path Series.
Off the Beaten Path Series Stand Still Laddy One of my joys of caching is finding ways to get off the main trail and find a location by the ways less traveled. Hence the “Off The Beaten Path Series”. The cache is placed in an area that you will have to do some path finding and a bit of navigation. While I was walking in the Wayne’s Ridge trail area I always wanted to see what was in the middle of the area surrounded by the trail system. I was walking and I found a dim path (if we can call it that)in the ferns that lead off into the center area. This path grew into a more traveled animal walkway that curves back on itself wondering past some neat rocks and Old Growth Stumps. I was looking at some cool trees and turned to my right and was startled to see a Tree Stand about 30 feet up. Some energetic hunter hauled the lumber in or maybe it was the world famous "Colton Harris Moore" making a place to stay dry and out of the way. Who knows but a cache site was born. You will be looking for a small snap lock placed. The cache is placed on the West side of the trail about 200 feet from the Tree Stand. Have as much fun as I did finding ???? Hint The deer trail is on the west side of the trail going up a small slope. At first it’s hard to follow due to the ferns. After that the path is fairly easy to follow. Coordinates N 48 12.895 W 122 29.318 Remember use caution when doing anything off trail. (That is why the difficulty rating is higher)
