Geocache Description:

Come meet other cachers and take a short hike (about three miles) in this great little park. We will meet at the pavilion and then hike the trails in two sections with an option to make it shorter if so desired. There are eleven caches in the park currently and possibly more by the time of the event.

We are having a late spring this year. It is freezing outside and the snow is blowing today. Hopefully by four weeks from now conditions will have improved significantly.

Join us to celebrate the warmer weather and the arrival of spring blooms!

The hike will be about three miles on mostly dirt track and some gravel. The are a few significant climbs and the trail can be muddy and slick in places if it has been raining.

We will gather at the pavilion in the park at the event coordinates at 10:00 AM for an informal meet and greet and then start out on the trails by 10:30.

After the hike we will break for lunch and then meet back at the Depot Street Brewery at 2:00 PM. Join us there for one more cache and a round of bocce ball if you wish.

** I just thought about this the other day and I apologize to anyone with geodogs, while they are welcome at the park for the hike, they are not allowed in the brewery at the final location. The owner's dog doesn't get along well with other dogs. I hope this causes no disruption to anyone's plans. On a somewhat related note, if anyone wishes to attend but either cannot make the hike in the morning or the final location in the afternoon that is OK. As long as you can make one or the other.
