Geocache Description:

The map and instructions were updated on
29th September 2021.

While planning this geocache, I discovered that Slacks Creek has its source in this piece of bushland, hence the cache name. The creek wanders off to the east and winds its way eventually to the Logan River. I always thought Slacks Creek was just the name of a suburb … how about that?

Anyhow, to find this cache, you’ll need the treasure map and instructions attached to this web page. The links are just above the grey area where the found logs start.

Geocaching has always been described as a treasure hunt, but I’ve only found one cache that used parts of a map as clues. This then, is my salute to all those pirate treasure maps I’ve found in books and films over the years.

The cache is a five litre container that is so well hidden, you probably won’t find it this time. Don’t worry though, once you have the final location, you won’t have to walk nearly as far next time .
