Back in March (2013), HiPointer & Capiti and I toured this portion of the Loxahatchee Slough. There were 10 geocaches in this area and we found them all after a wet, hot, 7.5 mile, 5 hour hike. It was supposed to be the "dry season", but it wasn't apparent to us.
We had such a good time we thought that we should share the experience with others, so we added a couple new caches in the area!! This is the first cache.
We're publishing them now to provide a challenge to those die-hard bushwackers among you. If you visit this area between June and September, it will probably be a little wetter!
The cache is relatively easy to find; the difficult part is getting to GZ. In the "dry season", the Terrain rating is about 3; in the "wet season", the Terrain rating is more like 4-4.5.
Be sure to bring water and snacks, and dress for the conditions. Be prepared for lots of wading!
The cache is a micro so please BYOP.
Congrats to Firewalker438 and BugeyBear for the "damp" FTF!
