The second stage is nearby, a short hike from stage 1, very little bushwhacking required. The path beings on Spalding Ave and is not safe for vehicles (see attributes). The area on the East side of the road, the Oak Leaf Preserve, has been protected as open space by a local non-profit organization called the Forked River Mountain Coalition. They have several other preserves in the area that are open to the public and most have geocaches in or around them. If you want to learn more about this or other preserves that have been protected by this group visit their website at www.frmc.org and check out the preserve profiles page. If searching in the night a flashlight is necessary. Have Fun!
