This little series of geocaches is for my granddaughter and one of her favourite TV shows, In the Night Garden. It is a perfect series to attempt with the children or grandkids.
This is also a good opportunity for a little tour of Leaghur State Park, whose 2,022 hectares protect some of Victoria's most significant Black Box wetland and woodland communities. There are numerous archaeological sites, including scarred trees and oven mounds. Don't attempt this series after rain, or you'll get the Ninky Nonk bogged!
Iggle Piggle is the central character of In the Night Garden. He is a blue teddy bear-like character with a red mohawk and carries a red blanket. Iggle Piggle falls on his back when surprised. He arrives at the beginning of each story and leaves in a boat at the end. He is the only character who doesn't sleep in the night garden.
At this point you will be at a picnic area and campsite on the southern shore of Lake Meran. There will likely be many waterbirds and if you're very lucky, a white-breasted sea eagle. Enjoy!
