The cache is located at one of my favorite places. This was always a hang out spot in High School and other times too. We used to jump off the old arched bridge that was here on an incoming tide and float down to Beer Can Island. North parking lot is open to 8:00 pm, but cache could be accessed from South lot too.
As the name of the cache implies, Mike Nelson would also like this location. Make a note in your log if you remember who that is. The cache has intentionally been made kind of easy with a good hint since this is also a busy place. The idea here is to bring you to a cool place. After finding the cache plan on spending some time or just doing some sightseeing....there's more to life than geocaching (right?). There's room in the container for small tradeables and trackables. If you park in the North lot you won't have to cross AIA just take the walkway under the bridge. Be safe and enjoy! PS: You can fish here too, and be sure to head North after you leave and see the cool tree tunnel on AIA.
