Geocache Description:

Congratulations to kbazzell for the FTF and to PD Frogs for the STF!

Growing up, this type of fencing was used everywhere.  Being from California, I had no idea why it would be called Cyclone fencing and we tended to refer to it as a chain-link fence.  I've seen it used for different purposes, including Avalanche control, so why not call it Avalanche fencing?

Anyhow, as we walked to have breakfast this morning at our favorite breakfast place just up the block, we noticed several types of fencing from the nice rail fencing by the train station, to the fencing along the tracks and then to this slatted section of Cyclone fencing.  The fence is doing its job - we saw no cyclones while we were here (no avalanches, either).

Although there is nothing particularly attractive or interesting about the area, we decided to leave a black bison tube in our wake.  Please use reasonable stealth as someone is feeding the cats nearby and may be living closer to the train tracks.

Enjoy!
