This is the old part of highway 271. The old bridges are on private property and can't be seen, but you can see the history of the old highway and how people used to travel into Gilmer from the north. The area is heavily farmed with an abundance of old barns and cows. Wild hogs and coyotes may be seen on occasion.
You are looking for a container (the size of a large coffee can) right off of Old Highway 271. You can park anywhere because there is no traffic, just please don't go on to anyones private property. I set this cache up using a little "creativity" so it won't be hidden like your traditional cache. Feel free to visit it as much as possible, but please put it back just like you found it.. this can be a fun cache to visit.
