YELLOW is just a silly nickname having to do with the color of the Mardi Gras beads placed in the cache. It can be a fun reference also, as you climb the ridge. "How far to YELLOW?" you might ask. Good question, as it sits at 6,173 feet, about 930 feet higher than the Bonneville Shoreline trail.
The trail to YELLOW follows deer trails through a band of sparse scrub oak. Just follow the easiest path you can find, while trying to stick to the deer trails. The cache is at the top of a large rock formation which should be clearly visible as you ascend. It's a great place to sit and take in the expansive views this ridge has to offer. Enjoy!
