There will be many Cache In Trash Out events during the Annual CITO weekend of April 20 - 22.
Let's show Polk County Environmental Lands that we appreciate them for allowing geocachers to use their properties to play the game we all love. Join us for a Cache In, Trash Out event on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Marshall Hampton Reserve to clean up the reserve trails.
Join your local geocachers at the Marshall Hampton Reserve at 9:00 a.m. for breakfast, a safety briefing, general information and trail assignments. This reserve and other Polk County Environmental Lands hosts a number of caches and the Polk County Environmental Lands Program has been receptive to geocaching. If you have ever been geocaching at Marshall Hampton Reserve you know that the reserve is pretty clean so if we get enough volunteers this could be a fairly short work day, leaving plenty of time for post CITO caching.
Suggested items to bring are: Gloves, boots, hats, bug spray, friends and family and anything you think might be helpful.
Items that will be available at the event: Trash bags, extra gloves, first aid kit, coffee, water and doughnuts.
This CITO Event is hosted by a member of the
