This is a nice, relatively short hike in the desert - or there are rudimentary roads which may allow you to drive fairly near to the cache. Watch for such life as jackrabbits, lizards, and - at the right time - nicely blooming cactus. As always, be aware of desert flora and fauna that can take a round out of you.
There are quite a few caches with different degrees of difficulty in this desert area. For those who like to get out and hike, you can enjoy the desert life and the varying topography it has to offer, as there are canyons and ridges beyond the outwash plains. But many of the caches can also be approached reasonably well by vehicle on a network of solid roadways. Just be sure not to take any unnecessary chances in soft material.
This cache is within 2 feet of one of the desert fixtures that never fail to intrigue me. It is a micro and your own writing implement is required. The hide is effective but easy to find and the terrain rating reflects a walk rather than a drive.
