This cache is sited at 510m in exposed highlevel moorland.
Appropriate footwear and clothing is recommended, do not under
estimate the nature of these fells - mist , low temperatrues and
high winds are common. Based on visits to date the ratings can be
as high as 5/5 in winter...have fun
Views from the top, when you get them, are fantastic and can
stretch from North Wales, Blackpool and Morecombe bay, Isle of Man
and the Lakes.
Fair Snape is a good hour climb/walk from the car park at Fell
Foot (246m). This is the start of a classic Bowland walk, and, as
the guide book descibes it - engage bottom gear and grind slowly up
the brutally steep pull to the top of Parlick (432m). The route to
Fair Snape is then obvious - on a clear day. On route you will pass
Wolf Fell - the site of the shooting of the last Wolf in
Britain.
Dogs are not allowed on the Access Area.
