An English sea explorer of the 17 th century.
Hudson explored the region around modern day New York while searching for a western route to Asia. He explored the river which eventually was named for him. Also he discovered a strait and an immense 'Bay', which was his final expedition. Hudson's crew mutinied and set Hudson and his 7 year old son adrift, the Hudson's were never seen again.
