Geocache Description:

On Fairsnape Fell within the Forest of Bowland access area

This cache is sited at 510m in exposed highlevel moorland. Appropriate footwear and clothing is recommended, do not under estimate the nature of these fells - mist , low temperatrues and high winds are common. Based on visits to date the ratings can be as high as 5/5 in winter...have fun

Views from the top, when you get them, are fantastic and can stretch from North Wales, Blackpool and Morecombe bay, Isle of Man and the Lakes.

Fair Snape is a good hour climb/walk from the car park at Fell Foot (246m). This is the start of a classic Bowland walk, and, as the guide book descibes it - engage bottom gear and grind slowly up the brutally steep pull to the top of Parlick (432m). The route to Fair Snape is then obvious - on a clear day. On route you will pass Wolf Fell - the site of the shooting of the last Wolf in Britain.

Dogs are not allowed on the Access Area.
