Geocache Description:

A difficult cache to find. The owner of the property has graciously granted permission for this cache, but has requested that you DO NOT CROSS ANY FENCES! To keep everyone happy, stay on the road side of all fences! I repeat it is NOT necessary to cross any fences to get to this cache.

All precautions concerning desert areas should be observed. Venomous snakes, spiders, scorpions, sticks, pricks, etc. may be encountered!

This cache is in honor of Sweet Potato Anderson. He was a farmer, named George M. Anderson, who homesteaded and farmed this area starting over 100 years ago. Believe it or not, where you see mesquite trees, sage and tumbleweeds, he grew sweet potatoes and cucumbers utilizing an artesian well located on his property to irrigate his crops. Yes, that's right an artesian well southeast of the cache location. He hauled his crops to Willcox to sell and the profits proved sufficient to raise his family. The people of Willcox affectionately nicknamed him Sweet Potato Anderson, because he was their source for fresh sweet potatoes. Sadly, because of many years of drought and the increase in irrigation wells now located in the Sulphur Springs Valley area, the water table has drastically dropped and the artesian well has long ago dried up. Just another reminder of how important it is to conserve water and pray for rain.

You're looking for a silver Bison Type Tube. It is NOT located on the cattle guard. This cache is probably not the easiest to find, but if you’re up for the challenge, come and find it. There are two other caches (GC48DV2 & GC3CE2H) along the way that will probably prove to be easier and hopefully even if this one eludes you, it will still be worth the trip.
