Geocache Description:

This is a cache off of a dirt road (2WD). Drive past the gun range, road will turn into dirt & follow to parking area. A short walk from there. Many years ago I found this spot & have been itching to put a cache here.

Please be careful as you are out in the desert here. Watch for critters & be sure to bring water.

Cache is a little different than normal. You may be fooled but maybe not. All the lava around here is from Ancient volcanoes, the last eruption about 7 million years ago. They believe at least 12 extinct volcanoes within 100 miles of Hoover Dam. You can see one from here NE called Fortification Hill. The big flat top. Enjoy the cache.
