Geocache Description:


This cache is a tribute to Elgin, one of the oldest caches in MA, and a neat one at that.  Elgin was the third cache I found, and of the first three I found, it is the only one still active.  Long live Elgin! 

Prelude to Elgin is another story.  If you are following the suggested trail to Elgin from the parking area, I recommend following the trail around the back side of this cache for the easiest access.  If you find yourself off trail and climbing a large hill decorated with boulders, that's probably the hard way.

Dogs are welcome, but they must be on a leash. BYOP
