The cache is accessible by cycle and foot (short walk from car). The terrain is flat, so suitable for all geocachers. Wheelchair friendly, help needed retrieving though.
The 'lock & lock' container holds a log book and pen.
This is our first time placing a cache, hopefully one of many.
We have arranged this to co-incide with the Sustrans 2 Tunnels Grand Opening Day on Saturday 6 April 2013, and thought it would be a good idea to have this cache as a Travel Bug Hotel as many cyclists and walkers will be passing this way.
The path runs along Linear Park, on through the disused Devonshire (at Bloomfield) and Combe Down railway tunnels, and over the magnificant Tucking Mill Viaduct.
At over a mile long the Combe Down tunnel will be the longest cycling tunnel in Europe. The virtually flat route will bring together local communities.
We hope you enjoy the day, and if you cannot make it we hope that you have a lovely time walking or cycling through the tunnels when you can.
Please be careful of Muggles, and make sure that you close the container tightly and replace carefully.
Well done to DrBillyo for being the FTF - hope the painting goes well !!
