Walking on the beach I saw you by chance
And sat to watched you on your branch
I expected that you would flit away,
In search of flowers across the bay.
And yet you remain motionless almost
On this gnarled tree upon the coast.

And as I pondered you sitting so serene
I thought things may not be as they seem.
For it was the caterpillar who did all the work
From which you gain all the glory by some quirk.
So you should blush like the rose flowers you fly by
