It seems the Easter Bunny lost my basket this year while out making his deliveries. At least he was nice enough to leave me a letter explaining what happened. I have posted his note in hopes my fellow cachers can help me locate my lost basket.
Dear Dave, I am embarrassed to admit that while making my deliveries tonight I lost your basket. An old buddy of mine who lives up north keeps insisting that I use a sleigh but I don't think that would work for me. Anyway, during the night I was making my annual journey and decided to take a short cut through a natural area. I thought it would be a good idea since it was more like the natural areas I like to call home. While taking this short cut, I heard a lot of howling and snarling and got sort of scared. I've heard stories that a bunch of dawggs frequent the area around this town so I started hopping and darting here and there until the sounds were far behind me. Somewhere during this mad dash of mine your basket got dislodged and it remains where I lost it. I was just too scared to go back and retrieve it. I hope you understand. I can tell you that since you love geocaching so much, your basket contained a bunch of small swag items I thought you would enjoy using during the year. I also included a brand new log sheet for you to put in one of the caches you've been planning. I was hoping that instead of me having to go back and dodge the dawggs you could maybe use your basket as a cache as is. I hope this is acceptable. I will try to be more careful with your basket next year.
Yours Truly,
Easter Bunny
