Skeppsvik
Skeppsvik är ett gammalt fiskarsamhälle som var aktivt i ca 120 år. Stället är väl skyddad från Ålands hav av några små öar och i viken finns en djup hamn där man kan lägga till för övernattning. Sommartid är Skeppsvik en populär plats med många sommarstugor men vintertid finns enbart några få bofasta på denna vackra plats.
Denna cache inte tänkt att vara svår, men den är tänkt att visa dig till en plats som väl värd att se!

Fakta om Eckerö
Eckerö är Finlands västligaste bebodda kommun i det svenskspråkiga och självstyrda Åland.
I Eckerö finner man en urgammal svensk kulturbygd. Platsen rymmer såväl minnen från vikingafärder och tidiga bosättningar som från den medeltida riksvägen mellan Stockholm och Åbo, liksom postforslingen över Ålands hav. Här stod slutstriden om Åland 1809, då Finland intogs av ryssland, och här låg i över ett sekel den ryske tsarens utpost och gränspostering i väster.
Eckerö är idag främst förknippat med turism.

Skeppsvik
Skeppsvik is an old fishing community that was active for about 120 years. The place is well protected from the sea by some small islands and in the bay there is a deep harbor where you can stay overnight with your boat. During summer, Skeppsvik a popular place with lots of holyday homes, but sadly there are only few year-round residents on this beatyful place!
This cache is not supposet to be difficult, but it will take you to a place well worth seeing!

Facts about Eckerö
Eckerö is Finland's most westerly inhabited municipality in the swedishspeaking and autonomous Åland.
In Eckerö you will find an ancient Swedish cultural tradition. Here you can find memories of both Viking voyages and early settlements as of the medieval mainroad between Stockholm and Turku, as well as the mail transfer between Sweden and Åland. Here was the final battle of Åland 1809, when Finland became occupied by Russia and here was the most westerly outpost of Russia for over a century.
Eckerö is today mainly associated with tourism
