This cache is at the old site of the Aboriginal/Afghan water source.
The site was originally an Aboriginal water source named Puriyakarranya, and is of significance to local Aboriginal people. It is names and features in many local language songs. IN the 1920’s the water source was used by Afghan camel teams who camped nearby as indicated by the date palm located 100m over the ridge north of the site.
This is a small cache but there is room for a pencil, log and some small trinkets. I have left a travel bug to carry on with it journey.
I would suggest that you keep an eye on your geokids, as part of the well is not very well covered, but it is not very deep. The cache is not near this. Enjoy
