Stenen när den var ny

"I berget vid Limungsviken finns denna inskription, som minner om då man för första gången spängde väg här förbi"
Hur står det i en gammal bok om Steneby socken. Idag är stenen bröt från berget och inskriptionen är svårt att tyda, men den är fortfarande där.

 "In the mountain at Limungsviken is this inscription, which reminds of the first time a road was blasted here". This is how an old book about Steneby parish writes about the stone. Today the stone has broke from the mountain and the inscription is difficult to read, but the stone is still here.
