Geocache Description:


Lake Pukaki is a part of extensive Upper Waitaki power scheme and the lake is feed princibly by the melt waters of Mt Cook Tasman and a number of other NZ mountains. The waters are generally a cloudy blue in colour due to the very fine glacial powder suspended in the water and reflected in the light. Beyond the cache site you can gain a view up the lake with Mt Cook in the distance.

This is a simple park and grab in a camping spot near the shores of Lake Pukaki.

The cache is a 200ml sistema container only bring your own pen.
