Geocache Description:

A forest trail through the beautifully undisturbed Fauna Forest. Located close to Donard Village and the Glen of Imaal, this trail will take you on a 11km walk on a easy to follow path.

The Forest Trail:

After parking at the gate, proceed along the well maintained path where you will encounter huge boulders, ancient trees, hidden streams, wildlife and creatures, stone walls of a by-gone era, fairy trees, fallen trees, and all on a quiet walkway with very few muggles. 

The walk takes you on a 11km round trip which will take in a number of caches and some highlights of the walk. 

This walk is safe for those who bring Geo-pooches, but horse riders use this walkway too so please keep your Geo-Pooches on their leads. 





The Cache:

Welcome to the Rock!!

The cache itself is just off the path and through the trees. Was a little muddy at the time I placed it so make sure you have appropriate foot wear to retrieve this. 

Please close container properly and re hide as found.


The area is maintained and managed by Coillte and the cache is placed in line with the "Leave no Trace" principle.
