The descriptive term Running Waters translated into the Aboriginal language is Woady Yaloak. The Woady Yaloak River rises here in Haddon before moving on its way through Smythesdale, Scarsdale and Cressy before emptying into Lake Corangamite. This reserve is largely managed by the local Lions Club which has its clubhouse here. adjacent to the attractive Lions Park which features a childrens playground, skate ramp, electric barbecues, picnic area, out door seating and toilet amenities. Throughout this land the Woady Yaloak river ambles its way under the road and under a delightful footbridge further into this reserve. At times you will need to watch for muggles as this is a popular area for picnics, kiddies birthday parties, some school outings involving the local school and pre-school 500m across the roundabout, so you need to pick your time. But largely it remains muggle free and quiet. Enjoy this peaceful part of a small Golden Plains village. The cache is a 400ml screw top container containing log book and pencil, some small trade items - at time of publishing it contained a set square, a bouncy ball, an embroidered TFTC patch. Additionally a FTF embroidered patch indicating the cache ID goes to the FTF :-). Congratulations to Highrod for FTF, hope you enjoy the FTF Patch, and thanks for the extra info regarding gloves - good idea. Have increased the difficulty rating as suggested :-)
