About an hour before the blood-red "supermoon" eclipse (9-27-15) we went out to check this cache in anticipation of Geocoinfest visitors. We've obviously been here several times, but during one previous visit we were both startled by the strange sound of a large animal bellowing from just inside the woods. It was legitimately freaky! LA grabbed J's arm; he froze in place. We haven't heard it since...until tonight. This visit we heard it again in the same basic area, but this time it was definitely close behind us as we were checking the final. We didn't really see anything other than a quick, foreboding eyeshine, but swear it looked ready to pounce. Eerie. Needless to say, we left immediately. Don't know what ungodly creature it was, but be aware something may be stalking you! Watch for those eyes, & be ready to run.

You will need a super bright flashlight (we use 250+ lumens & a strongly focused beam & fresh batteries) & a way to record subsequent stage coordinates (no puzzles). It is also recommended you bring a teammate in case of injury & to help you navigate through the stages.

To start, park at the waypoint, then walk to the posted coordinates. You should find a small orange dot to help guide you into the woods (stage 1 only). Of course, there may be some bushwhacking involved. Pants & long sleeves suggested.

Once at the coordinates, shine your flashlights up, down & all around a fair distance to locate the 1st reflector. Since it can only be seen from certain angles & foliage may be too thick to see through, you may have to move around a fairly large area or return after the leaves fall. Once standing *at the precipice* at each waypoint, you may have to move right as far as 35+ ft to get a clear view of the reflectors. There are now additional tack reflectors near each stage to guide you to within about 10 ft of the "coordinate reflectors", which are attached to trees with teal wire. The final does not have coordinates, so keep an eye out for the creature we told you about. Could it have been a real-life werewolf of Fenrir? Or perhaps Gmork, the servant of the power behind The Nothing?

The coords on the 1st reflector are for the stage 2 viewpoint, the stage 2 reflector coords take you to the *viewpoint* for the final. You won't need to remove the tags, simply unclip to read then reclip when done. Because this terrain keeps changing, waypoints may be pointing down to pitch black nothingness (stage 2 viewpoint collapsed so just stay on top). Be keenly aware of your surroundings so you don't accidentally fall.
