A beautiful high vantage point for a panoramic view to the west, south and east of Gibraltar
The cache is located at Spur Battery which was built in 1903. It used to house a 9.2-inch breech-loading gun which was dismantled and transferred to The Imperial War Museum in Duxford, where it was refurbished and dislplayed. Although the gun was removed in 1981 the remaining battery offers a spectacular vantage point over the Straits of Gibraltar.
IMPORTANT: Take care if visiting with young children as there are steep drops in the area.
