Geocache Description:

This is an easy P&G cache in a remote area.

When you go to Hudson Ranch, they're not growing anything here. In fact, all you will find is green energy production.

Hudson Ranch I went online in Feb 2012 and was renamed the John L. Featherstone plant at the official dedication in May 2012. The facility is a 49.9 MW three-stage flash geothermal power generation site. Also noteworthy, it is the first stand-alone geothermal power plant constructed in the Salton Sea known geothermal resource area in more than 20 years.

When this cache was placed, EnergySource, the parent company is moving forward with drilling production wells for Hudson Ranch site #2 further to the east on McDonald Rd.
