The route takes you from Bockhampton Road in Lambourn over Thorn Hill to Rooksnest. The route then takes you to Lambourn Woodlands before returning you to Lambourn via the delightful Dance's Cottage. The route is approximately 5 miles in length and will require you to climb approximately 600 feet in total.
There is plenty of on street parking on Bockhampton Road (N51 30.252 W001 31.588).
There are several gates and stiles to negotiate and it can get muddy. Most of the route is dog friendly however there is a stile near to #15 that large dogs may struggle to get over. You may well encounter livestock between #2 and #3 as well as between #14 and #15.
I am particularly fond of this area in the spring and early summer because of the bluebells, cowslips and orchids. But you may well also encounter deer, buzzards and red kites on your way round.
There are 23 traditional caches for you to find as well as a multi-cache and a bonus puzzle cache. You may wish to print off the bonus cache page so that you can spot where the photo was taken as you make your way along the route.
