Geocache Description:

There are 16 different cache types listed on geocaching.com.  A colorful variety of icons represents this rich assortment of potential geocaching experiences.  The challenge is for you to collect at least 8 of these icons.

Eight of the sixteen cache types are available in Manitoba.  Traditional, multi and unknown/puzzle caches are all plentiful.  Earthcaches have grown in number and there are a few letterbox hybrids.  There are four virtual caches in the province and another one on the border at the International Peace Garden.  Event caches and CITO events are held periodically.  The remaining cache types (Wherigo, webcam, Project A.P.E., mega, headquarters, GPS Adventure) are not available in Manitoba or are no longer available anywhere (10 Years event, locationless). 

The goal is not to get obsessed about the statistics but to expand the variety of your caching experiences.  Caches that you have found at any time and at any place count.  Any of the 16 listed cache types count.  In your log include the GC code and name of each cache as well as the type of cache it is.  I know I can find the necessary information in your profile page but you should have the fun of remembering the good times as you assemble the list.
